FORMAT FOR ARTICLE WRITING
TITLE (All caps, Cambria, font 14, bold, centered)
The publication title (distinct from the research title) should include the main keywords and avoid abbreviations. It should consist of 12–20 words or not exceed 70 characters. Authors must also provide a short title for use as a page header in the journal. Avoid using terms such as "study," "relationship," or "influence" in the publication title. Example: Reduction of systolic blood pressure through pursed-lip breathing exercises in patients with primary hypertension.
AUTHOR DETAILS (font 10, centered)
The full names of the authors (without abbreviations or titles) should appear below the title. The order of authors should reflect their contribution to the writing process. For correspondence, include the telephone number, fax (if applicable), and email address.
ABSTRACT (Cambria, font 10)
The abstract should be written in English, with a maximum of 250 words. It should not include references, numerical data, abbreviations, acronyms, or measurement results unless absolutely necessary. The abstract should consist of the introduction, objectives, methods, results, conclusions, and keywords. Begin with the introduction (background, problem, and objectives), followed by a brief description of the research methods (design, sample, data collection, and analysis). Present the results directly addressing the research problem, and conclude with a discussion of the findings and implications.
KEYWORDS
Include up to six keywords or phrases, arranged alphabetically, in English and/or Indonesian.
BACKGROUND (Cambria, font 12)
The background should briefly outline the significance of the research problem and justify the need for the study. Highlight the novelty of the findings compared to previous research, supported by relevant and robust references. Clearly state the research objectives. Avoid discussing methods, data, results, or conclusions in this section. The background should not exceed one page.
METHODS (font 12)
Provide a comprehensive and detailed description of the methods to enable replication of the study. This section should include:
Research design
Time and location of the study
Population and sample
Sample size estimation
Sampling method
Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Variables studied (definitions and classifications/criteria, if applicable)
Tools and materials used
Detailed procedures, including measurements and interventions (e.g., how weight and height were measured, frequency, personnel involved, timing, etc.)
Statistical analysis methods
Software used
Ethical considerations (including Ethical Clearance and Informed Consent forms)
RESULTS (font 12)
Present the research findings in a logical sequence, starting with the characteristics of the study subjects. Results should be presented narratively, in tables, or figures (graphs/diagrams). Include information on loss to follow-up or drop-out subjects (if applicable). Avoid presenting individual subject data unless in extreme cases. Ensure tables and figures are informative, with a maximum of 3–5 per manuscript. Each table/figure must be referenced in the text and should be self-explanatory. Avoid duplicating information; if the narrative is clearer, omit the table or figure. Cite sources for secondary data. When presenting mean values, include the standard deviation.
TABLES
Table titles should be placed above the table. Number tables sequentially using Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, etc.). Label each column with the corresponding variable (abbreviations are acceptable if standard). Footnotes explaining abbreviations, codes, or symbols should be placed below the table, using superscript Arabic numerals.
FIGURES
Figure titles should be placed below the figure. Graphs or images should be in black-and-white format. Color printing may incur additional charges. Figures must be self-explanatory, with clear labels, units, and symbols. Define any abbreviations or symbols used in the figure legend. Ensure images are of sufficient resolution for clear printing.
DISCUSSION (font 12)
Begin the discussion with the main findings, then interpret their significance by comparing them with previous knowledge or research. Relate the findings to clinical, social, and scientific aspects. Avoid repeating information from the results section. Focus on similarities, differences, uniqueness, and limitations (if any) of the findings. Conclude with recommendations for future research. Avoid using textbooks, methodological guides, classical books, or newspaper articles as comparative references. Use standard terminology and ensure logical flow between paragraphs. Define abbreviations upon first use.
CONCLUSION (font 12)
The conclusion should address the research hypothesis and align with the study objectives. Discuss the implications of the findings for advancing the field. Provide suggestions for further research if applicable.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS (font 12)
Acknowledge individuals or institutions that contributed significantly but do not qualify as authors. Include funding sources (institution, contract number, year) and any conflicts of interest.
REFERENCES (font 12)
Include only published articles that are most relevant to the manuscript. Use the Harvard referencing style. All references must be cited in the text, using the format: (Potter & Perry, 2006) or Potter and Perry (2006). For more than three authors, use the first author’s name followed by "et al.".
Notes for Authors:
Authors MUST provide a plagiarism report with a similarity index of less than 25%.
Authors MUST use reference manager (Mendeley, Zotero, Endnote) for reference formatting.
