Penerapan Terapi Guided Imagery Terhadap Penurunan Nyeri Pada Pasien Post Operasi Appendisitis

Abstract

BSTRAK
Appendisitis merupakan penyebab umum inflamasi akut pada kuadran kanan
bawah rongga abdomen, yang dilakukan dengan pembedahan abdomen darurat.
Appendiktomi merupakan kedaruratan bedah. Pembedahan memberikan efek
nyeri pada pasien. Terapi guided imagery merupakan sebuah proses
menggunakan kekuatan pikiran untuk menyembuhkan dan memelihara tubuh
melalui komunikasi dalam tubuh, melibatkan semua indera. Tujuan penelitian
ini adalah didapatkan gambaran penerapan terapi guided imagery terhadap
penurunan nyeri pada pasien post operasi appendisitis. Metode penelitian
menggunakan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dari hasil wawancara dan
data buku rekam medis, dan penilaian skala nyeri menggunakan NRS.
Didapatkan hasil dua pasien menunjukkan adanya penurunan tingkat nyeri
setelah dilakukan terapi guided imagery.

Application of Guided Imagery Therapy for Reducing Pain in
Postoperative Appendicitis Patients
ABSTRACT
Appendicitis is a common cause of acute inflammation in the right lower quadrant
of the abdominal cavity, which is performed by emergency abdominal surgery.
Appendectomy is a surgical emergency. Surgery gives the effect of pain on the
patient. Guided imagery therapy is a process of using the power of the mind to heal
and maintain the body through communication within the body, involving all the
senses. The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the application of
guided imagery therapy to reduce pain in postoperative appendicitis patients. The
research method used descriptive method. Data collection from interviews and
medical record book data, and pain scale assessment using NRS. The results
showed that two patients showed a decrease in pain levels after guided imagery
therapy.
